It’s been the standard way-too-long since I updated here, but I just realised that I should put up a post about this, my new EP! It’s called Lost Stories and you can listen/download it from bandcamp, or get it on itunes.
The four songs were written over January and February and recorded on my new portable recorder (which I was able to buy thanks to my Patrons!)
The lyrics and chords are up on this here website, and below is a playlist of the songs performed live at the George Tavern.
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the EP.

I’ve decided to set up a charitable arm of Scratch That Records. Obviously the label is only small and doesn’t make much money, so we’re not gonna save the world in the next year, but still – it’ll be something, and moving forward it’ll be good to have it all set up.
I’ve decided to send the money through kiva.org, having seen John Green discuss it on YouTube. The idea is that you loan money (interest free) to entrepreneurs who want to set up a business but don’t have access to finance. Once their business is going, they pay the money back and you can lend it out again. I think this is a good fit for a small business, and will let a relatively small amount of money go a long way over time. Plus being Internet based it’s good to be able to lend money all over the world.
To start up the fund I’ll be using 25% of all sales from scratchthatrecords.com, the Blue Skies bandcamp page and my adsense (advertising on my youtube videos) in the month of December.
Obviously there’s nothing there yet, but come January you’ll be able to see all the people we’re lending to by going here, and perhaps I’ll get you guys to suggest where our money should go next.
p.s. The time of year may be partly responsible for this, so to help you get on board here’s a picture of our tree. There are more if you click through.
Four months ago I told my friend PJ that he should write some songs because he’d be good at it, then two weeks ago he sent me a load of songs.
Those songs have been put together and now form PJ’s debut album Stories from Somewhere, which I’m selling for him on Scratch That Records. It’s all very exciting!
It’s full of cool crazy stories and little glimpses inside PJ’s head, which you’ll be familiar with if you’ve watched his videos.
So get on over to scratchthatrecords.com! There’s even a bloody DEAL where you can get it with my latest album and save some pounds. You can also download from bandcamp or itunes if you’re into that, and you can listen to the whole thing below.
Even though I have a sneaking suspicion that Spotify might be a harbinger of the apocalypse (of the independent slice of the music industry) I have put a couple of my old albums on there. I felt it wrong to judge without having actually used it (as an artist).
So if you have it, you can now listen to The Blackout Sessions and Blue Skies on there! I may do a proper post talking about Spotify and streaming services in general in the future, but I will probably wait to see how this goes first.
In other news: I uploaded this.
