I always get asked about what equipment I use, so I’m writing it all down here and in future I’ll be able to link to this page rather than write it out every time.

AKG C414
Pair of Samson C02s
Sennheiser e835s

Guild f30
Fender cutaway acoustic DG 14SCE
Epiphone Sheraton II
Burns Marquee
Yamaha bass stolen from my cousin
Dean acoustic bass also stolen from my cousin

Fender Frontman 212R
Behringer BXL 1800 Ultrabass 180W

Upright made by Kemble London. I know nothing more about it apart from it’s beautiful.
And a midi controller keyboard, M-Audio: Axiom 61.

I only have an electric kit – a Yamaha DTXpress. I’d love an acoustic kit but they’re quite loud and there’s a baby next door.

Alesis Multimix 12 (firewire)
Zoom H6 (also for portable recording)

24 inch iMac (2.93GHz core 2 duo, 4GB RAM)

I use Logic Pro now, earlier stuff was done on Cubase.
Final Cut for video.

Headphones – AKG K271.
Speakers – Alesis prolinear 720.
Strings – I use Matrin SP strings for my acoustic, and am currently on Gibsons for the electric, but it’s worth trying out a few to see what suits you.
Plectrums – I like the simple Dunlop black nylon ones, 1mm thick. Tried hundreds and I always come back to those. Thin enough to strum, think enough to pick. Just right.
Guitar pedals – Boss ME70, Digitech RP50 and Behringer UF100 flanger.

Canon 600d (lenses: Samyang 35mm T1.5 and the kit lens)
Sony handycam HDR-CX-410
(older videos made on a JVC Everio camcorder)

    What amplifier(s) do you use?

Sorry, it’s me again. I was just wondering how much your beautiful piano cost? Love the piano songs like When I see you again. Thanks!

    • I think it was just under £200 (second hand). Then I had to pay about £40 to hire a van to go get it, and enlist the 4 strongest people I knew to help me lift it up the stairs haha.

  3. How are those headphones? I sat on my old old ones (big black skullcandy ones don’t know which make) then taped them back. Then broke the other side which was taped and held in place with lego. RIP headphones 😦

    • Depends what you want them for – they’re good for recording but they’re too big to use day to day on an ipod or something.

      • How breakable are they? (I sat on my last ones and broke them this is important) they can’t be any bigger than my old ones they were DJ STYLE !!… Probally why they don’t sell them anymore.

  4. Id go for a orange dual terror
