Get yer cameras out!

So my new album is pretty much done!

Now we’re onto the artwork and Paul and I thought it would be cool to give you guys a chance to be a part of that process. We have a design that we’re happy with, I don’t want to show it to you yet, but it’s made up of two colours – one for the background and one for text. Rather than use block colour we want to use photographs to add some texture to it, and we also want to have several variations. So if you’d like to help out and have your photograph used in my album artwork, go grab your camera and send us some shots!

We need the photos to be largely made up of one colour, for example, green:

It can be any colour and the higher the quality, the better, so if your friend or parent or second cousin twice removed has a nice fancy camera that you can borrow, do that!

I think that’s pretty much all you need to know, oh send your photos to me at musicfromblueskies@gmail.com and legal disclaimer: by sending them in you are agreeing that I can use them and that your only payment will be pride and joy at having your photograph on my album! Also we may alter the photo’s hue/contrast etc. so it works as well as possible in the final piece.

Have fun snapping, I look forward to seeing your colours!

Dave.

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your entries, the deadline is up and everything has been ordered, no need to send any more!

  5. I was wondering if you got my other photos… I didn’t want to keep writing to the other one because I sent too many. :S

By the way, is there any way of getting Aim For Happiness and Rarities as a physical object? πŸ™‚

    • I’m sure I will have, I couldn’t reply to all the messages as I was getting loads and was just trying to keep up with the pictures!

I’m afraid I haven’t got those two printed as physical CD’s, don’t think I would sell enough to justify it.
