The fox treads so lightly, but his footprints show
You can mar perfection like the purest snow
With the lightest of touches,
With the warmest words.
However soft you whisper, you can still be heard.
It took so long to built it
So quick to fall apart.
Do you know how long it takes
To fix a broken heart?
Remember back in summer?
That seems so long ago.
Say would you do it over, if you had always known?
The snow glows at twilight
Like on a child’s wall,
The stars that shine in darkness,
I still see it fall.
Though the sun’s been switched of
To send us all to sleep
I can’t make out the footsteps
Do they walk away from me?
